1970’s bathroom makeover – four to be precise!

Ashby KBB were asked to undertake the renovation of four bathrooms in a very spacious 1970’s bungalow renovation in Packington.

The owner is completely refurbishing the whole bungalow and the bathrooms were the first to be completed.  When they took over the property the bathrooms were in a ‘fixer upper’ state!  Old and dated and dysfunctional.

This is where Ashby KBB came in. Dan Whitworth was chosen for his personal style and flair for bathroom designing. Bob the owner praised Dan for his accommodating, flexible can do attitude. Both parties settled on an agreed way forward very easily, with Ashby KBB doing an excellent turnkey execution of the work, providing everything from electricians to plumbers to tilers.

Dan provided sketches for the client to agree on, and to make absolutely sure, Dan took the client to the supplier, Utopia in Wolverhampton to see the bathroom ranges chosen in situ.

The decision and buying process only took a week. Dan suggested to make the most of the skilled workforce it would be ideal if all bathrooms were fitted at the same time, four in total. This was an excellent decision as all bathrooms took just 5 weeks to install, including underfloor heating in the hallway and completely re-tiling the hallway as well as all bathrooms.

The bathrooms installed were all from the Utopia manufacturer. The style Roseberry was used in the house bathroom and the new en-suite to the second bedroom. Bob chose the Arragon i-line range for the master bedroom, finally finishing off with a new range from Utopia, Upula in the new cloakroom.

Bob was very insistent he wanted to buy local and it paid off by using Ashby KBB.  He is over the moon with the result and would certainly use Dan and he team again.  

It always makes a huge difference when the people you do business with are positive and Dan was always that – and more.  Cheerful, understanding and capable were just a few words to describe Dan and the service.

The focus on customer satisfaction was second to none, and a very important part of Ashby KBB’s ethos. Where Dan saw opportunities to improve the bathrooms further ‘on the job’ even after the sketches were signed off, he spoke up and made positive changes to make the finished look even better than envisaged – and the surprising thing – the price did not change in this case!
